Dr. Robert J. Brown, Founder

Dr. Brown is Chief Executive Officer of B&C International (BCI).  Throughout is career, Dr. Brown has spent significant time solving problems and cultivating key high level relationships in the United States and on the continents of Africa, Asia and Europe.  As BCI’s visionary, he continues to strategically support company platform development, global growth and client engagements.

Dr. Brown speaks frequently on race relations, emerging markets and international strategy and was recognized by the Washington Post as a World Class Power Broker.  Recently retiring from the boards of the NCAA, Duke Energy, Wachovia Corporation, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and Sonoco Products Company, Dr. Brown is a strong supporter of youth, education and non-violent programs.  Dr. Brown currently serves on the boards of High Point University, Boston University, Virginia Union University, National Urban League, Horatio Alger Association and the Richard Nixon Foundation.

Numerous colleges, universities and national organizations have honored Brown. He holds ten honorary doctorate degrees and six national achievement awards. He has also been honored as a recipient of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans Award, the Small Business Administration’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the United Way of Greater High Point’s 2002 Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award, The High Point Enterprise 2005 Citizen of the Year Award, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency’s 2006 Abe Venable Legacy Award for Lifetime Achievement, the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency’s 2007 National Director’s Legacy Award for Lifetime Achievement and the National Urban League’s 2009 Collins Award.

Larry Yon, Managing Partner

Larry Yon, Chief Operating Officer of B&C International, is a seasoned entrepreneur, practical strategist and organizational development executive focused on identifying and capturing new growth in mature markets, quickly mobilizing to maximize opportunity and building teams that win.

In this role, Mr. Yon guides internal and external strategy execution and communication as BCI positions itself for a constantly evolving global business marketplace.  He directs new market exploration, primary market research and intelligence gathering to ensure the firm’s chief executive team understands the implications of potential choices.  Focusing on the future, Mr. Yon works to ensure BCI continuously evaluates its value proposition and is appropriately structured and branded for global growth.

Mr. Yon earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Carolina Central University.  He currently serves on the Board of Commissioners for Durham Housing Authority, the Board of Directors of UDI Community Development Corporation and the Board of Visitors for the School of Business at North Carolina Central University.

Mr. Yon currently lives in Durham, NC with his wife Cheron and their three children Kennedy, Karson and Larry III.


Osyris Uqoezwa, Partner

Osyris Uqoezwa, President of B&C International, rebuilt the executive team, refreshed the strategic business model and is leading a successful expansion of the organization’s services. Mr. Uqoezwa, a trusted advisor to corporate and international leaders, is a business transformation expert and sought after speaker.

As a senior consultant, he informs organizations of the major shifts required for organizational transformation by bringing insights to clients on the scale of change they seek and how they should be best positioned for change to avert risk and derailment. Mr. Uqoezwa, also assists with developing talent, guiding leadership transformation interventions and clarifying the impact of business change on an organization and its key roles.

Through his myriad of successful business ventures, Mr. Uqoezwa has been recognized for his extensive business experience in expanding domestic and international imports and has advised companies globally on market expansions, investments and international business relationships. His accomplishments have been featured in national magazines such as Businessweek and Black Enterprise.

Mr. Uqoezwa holds degrees from North Carolina Central University and serves on the Board of Trustees for Winston Salem State University.
